Photokit version 0.3.9 has been ported (12/31/2012) to OS/2. This is a photo browser with many slide effects, which uses the Qt4 libraries.


Flashrip version 0.4 has been ported (12/28/2012) to OS/2. This Qt4 app converts YouTube videos to OGG or MP3.


Dynamic Windows Interface Builder version 1.0 beta 2 has been released (12/27/2012). The latest version can be found via FTP.


Astrolog for OS/2 version 2.0 TP81 has been released (12/24/2012). This is astrology calculation, charting, and analysis software.


QGrab version 0.23 has been ported (12/23/2012) to OS/2. This is a minimalistic screen-grabber, which uses the Qt4 libraries.


The URW core fonts have been packaged (12/22/2012) for OS/2. Part 1 includes fonts that have no equivalents provided by OS/2: "Century Schoolbook L", "Dingbats", "Nimbus Sans L Condensed", "URW Bookman L", "URW Chancery L", "URW Gothic L" and "URW Palladio L". Part 2 contains fonts which are clones of standard OS/2 fonts: "Nimbus Sans L" (Helvetica clone), "Nimbus Sans Mono L" (Courier clone), "Nimbus Roman No. 9 L" (Times New Roman clone) and "Standard Symbols L" (Symbol clone). There are both TrueType and Type 1 versions of the fonts, but the TrueType (ttf) versions are recommended. There is also a package of the Artifex PCL fonts, which includes versions of Garamond and Univers. Thanks to Alex Taylor for the info, and converting the fonts to TrueType.


Dynamic Windows version 2.5 has been released (12/21/2012). This is a cross-platform application framework that was designed to make it easy to create dynamic applications with a modern interface, and was modeled after the GTK library. The latest version can be found via FTP.


SafeFire PPP/Links version 1.3 alpha has been updated (12/19/2012). SafeFire PPP/Links supports PPtP, MSCHAP, ISDN, a traffic shaper, an identd server, remote control, and more.


Qshare version 2.1.5 has been ported (12/1/2012) to OS/2. This is an easy to use FTP server with a built-in service discovery feature, which uses the Qt4 libraries.


jOggPlayer version 1.1.9 has been released (11/24/2012). This is an open source GUI Java Ogg Vorbis player.


Paul Smedley has released (11/22/2012) an OS/2 build of DVDAuthor version 0.7.1. This is a tool for generating DVD VIDEO structures from given mpeg2 files. From VOICE News.


paper version 0.5 has been ported (11/13/2012) to OS/2. This is a comic book viewer, which uses the Qt4 libraries.


Qtnp version 0.9.8 has been ported (11/11/2012) to OS/2. This is a simple graphics editor, which uses the Qt4 libraries.


softProjector version 1.0.7 has been ported (11/10/2012) to OS/2. This Qt4 app projects song and bible text to the screen.


BingDownloader version 1.0 has been ported (10/29/2012) to OS/2. This is an interface to the Bing search engine, using the Qt4 libraries.


GBM version 1.76 has been released (10/28/2012). Generalised Bitmap Module is a library for handling many different bitmap file formats, and is used by applications like Mesa, PM-Raw, and PM-Exif. It includes a PM bitmap viewer and editor, a REXX interface library, and plugins for Lucide and Mozilla. The source code is freely available and released as public domain.


Protimer version 1.4 has been ported (10/28/2012) to OS/2. This Qt4 app is a time tracking application.


KDiff3 version 0.9.97 has been ported (10/23/2012) to OS/2. This is a program that compares or merges two or three text input files or directories, shows the differences line by line and character by character, provides an automatic merge-facility, and more.


Ccrypt version 1.10 has been ported (10/20/2012) to OS/2. This is a utility for encrypting and decrypting files and streams, designed as a replacement for the standard unix crypt utility.


objconv has been ported (10/13/2012) to OS/2. This utility can convert object files between COFF/PE, OMF, ELF and Mach-O formats for all 32-bit and 64-bit x86 platforms. Can modify symbol names in object files, and includes a very good disassembler supporting the SSE4, AVX, AVX2, FMA and XOP instruction sets.


syncbackup version 1.1.4 has been ported (10/6/2012) to OS/2. This Qt4 app is a front end for rsync.


ids2devs version 1.03 has been released (10/06/2012). This tool converts pci.ids to pcidevs.txt, as used by the pci.exe tool. This allows it to accurately identify the devices in your system. Thanks to Greg Jarvis for the info.


WallpaperFiner version 0.94 has been ported (8/22/2012) to OS/2. This utility crops images to fit the desktop, and sets it as the background.


Banner engine version 1.0.0 has been released (8/17/2012). This is a banner / notification system, intended to show alert messages to the user. There is a reminder demo app to demonstrate how it works.


Bridge2-Hi version 2.0 has been released (8/9/2012). This allows you to input Chinese characters into any PM application.


Glass PM C++ library has been updated (8/3/2012). This library for developing PM applications was used for DVD Toys and PM Backup Suite. From VOICE News.


ClipView version 3.6 has been released (8/1/2012). This is a set of tools to provide and work with multiple clipboards, including ClipPrint, PipeClip, ClipPipe, and more. There is even cross-platform client/server clipboard support. Thanks to Dave Saville for the news.


Bot Race version 0.2 has been ported (7/18/2012) to OS/2. This is a clone of the famous Robo Rally board game, written in Qt4. Supports animated boards, network and solo games, an editor to create your own boards, and fully scalable SVG themes.


JFTP version 5.0.1 has been released. This is a graphical FTP client that requires Java 1.6.


eMozPrint version 1.85T has been released (7/3/2012). This utility scans the desktop for PDF files created by Firefox, Thunderbird or Seamonkey, and prints the files automatically or offers a dialog to print them, using Ghostscript.


Coquillo version 1.12 has been ported (6/20/2012) to OS/2. This is an audio file metadata editor, which uses the Qt4 libraries.


Qeodart version 2.0a has been ported (6/17/2012) to OS/2. This is a geography education game, which uses the Qt4 libraries.


PMRaw version 2.5 has been released (6/12/2012). This is a graphical front-end to dcraw, which lets you display images from digital cameras in RAW-format, and convert them to BMP or JPG. From OS2World.


Dwdiff version 2.0.4 has been ported (6/12/2012) to OS/2. This is a front-end for the diff program that operates at the word level instead of the line level.


LugduloV version 0.6.2 has been ported (6/10/2012) to OS/2. This is a bike sharing application that supports several European cities; which uses the Qt4 libraries.


SQLite Browser version 1.3j has been ported (6/5/2012) to OS/2. This is a visual tool used to create, design and edit database files compatible with SQLite. It includes SQLite version 3.7.8.


DMT, the eComStation Desktop Maintenance Tool, has been updated to version 0.90 on the eComStation Betazone (for Software Subscription customers). DMT checks and corrects errors in the INI files that might prevent the WPS from operating properly, and can restore these files from backups if needed. It also cleans the INIs, removing entries that refer to deleted files. It is run from config.sys and normally requires no user intervention. From VOICE News.


Steven Levine has ported (4/25/2012) Rsync version 3.0.9 to OS/2. This is a useful utility for syncing files between machines, and includes support for EAs.


QBall version 1.4 has been ported (4/17/2012) to OS/2. This is a simple clone of the game Breakout, which uses the Qt4 libraries.


plzip version 0.9 has been ported (4/16/2012) to OS/2. This is a parallelizing version of the lzip lossless file compressor.


PhotoResizerQt version 1.3.1 has been ported (4/16/2012) to OS/2. This Qt4 app is for resizing photos.


qOrganizer version 3.15 has been ported (4/15/2012) to OS/2. This Qt4 app is a general organizer that includes a calendar, reminders, notes, and a to-do list.


Simple Image Resizer version 2.3 has been ported (4/11/2012) to OS/2. This is a tool for resizing images, which uses the Qt4 libraries.


YACReader version 0.30 has been ported (4/9/2012) to OS/2. This is a comic reader with support for multiple comic files and image formats, which uses the Qt4 libraries.


The "widescreen activators" for Intel and ATI chipsets have been updated (4/8/2012) to version 0.8b; these hack the VESA BIOS to support some widescreen modes.


lzlib version 1.3 has been ported (4/8/2012) to OS/2. This is a data compression library providing in-memory LZMA compression and decompression functions, using the lzip format.


serverlog version 1.1.6 has been ported (4/7/2012) to OS/2. This app logs client/server communications, and uses the Qt4 libraries.


freshmemory version 1.0.2 has been ported (3/22/2012) to OS/2. This app is for learning large amounts of material using repetition, and uses the Qt4 libraries.


WarpCalc version 2.0 has been released (3/21/2012). This is a 32-bit scientific desktop calculator for OS/2, which is now freeware. From VOICE News.


ncFTP version 3.2.5 has been ported (3/18/2012) to OS/2. This FTP client supports resuming uploads and downloads, tab completion, and some command line utilities.


drman version 1.3 has been released (3/16/2012). This is a Drag and Drop enabled file reader for help files in the Linux man format.


gnuplot version 4.6.0 has been released (3/12/2012). This is a utility for 2D/3D data plotting.


JamochaMUD version 4.91 has been released (3/11/2012). This is an open-source Java MUCK/MUD client.


glpeces version 5.0 has been ported (3/8/2012) to OS/2. This Qt4 app is a tangram game with lots of varieties.


The lziprecover version 1.13 has been ported (3/5/2012) to OS/2. This is a data recovery tool and decompressor for files in the lzip compressed data format.


The WarpIn package of ClamAV version 0.97.3 has been refreshed (2/27/2012); another port of ClamAV is available in RPM format. This is a GPL anti-virus toolkit, which features a command line scanner, a tool for automatic updating via the Internet, and integration with mail servers (attachment scanning).


MindTerm version 4.0 is now available; this is a SSH client written in Java.


shinrai version 1.0.1 has been ported (2/23/2012) to OS/2. This is a password manager, which uses the Qt4 libraries.


CalcPad has been released (2/21/2012) as part of eCo Works, a collection of small office utilities. This calculator is intended for arithmetical calculations in table form, with the ability to save and use the results of previous calculations. From OS2World.


The TIFF library version 4.0.1 has been ported (2/19/2012) to OS/2. Included is libtiff, for reading and writing the image files, and some utilities for manipulating TIFF image files.


ALVM version 0.2 has been released (2/18/2012). This is an experimental replacement for IBM's Logical Volume Manager. Discussion and bug reports are available on the forum.


Ogg Vorbis version 1.3.3 has been ported (2/13/2012) to OS/2. Ogg Vorbis is an audio compression format similar to MP3, but free of patented algorithms and fully open source. Included are an encoder, decoder, player, PM123 plugin, and more. Also available is OggEncPM version 0.9.1, a basic front end for the encoder.


K Movie Player version 0.7.2 has been released (2/12/2012). This is a video player based on FFPlay, without SDL dependencies and support for DIVE, SNAP video overlays, and WarpOverlay.


TNEF 1.4.8 has been ported (2/12/2012) to OS/2. This is a program for unpacking MIME attachments of type "application/ms-tnef". Due to the proliferation of Microsoft Outlook and Exchange mail servers, some mail is being encapsulated into this format.


cliphist2 version 1.0.1 has been ported (2/9/2012) to OS/2. This is a clipboard history tool, that uses the Qt4 libraries.


qtrehber version 0.7 has been ported (2/8/2012) to OS/2. This is a phone book app, which uses the Qt4 libraries.


An OS/2 build of Enigmail version 1.3.5 for Thunderbird 10 is now available; this allows you to use GnuPG with your email in Thunderbird and/or Seamonkey. There is a tutorial on setting it up.


KShell version 0.8.1 has been released (2/5/2012). This is a replacement VIO window, which allows DBCS input and output even on non-DBCS OS/2, with support for scroll-back and clipboard.


Qt Creator version 2.2.1 has been ported (9/17/2011) to OS/2; also available (2/3/2012) are the Artistic Style plugin version 0.6.0 and the QML Designer plugin version 2.2.1. This multiplatform Qt Integrated Development Environment features a C and JavaScript code editor, integrated UI designer, project and build management tools, support for version control, and more.


BillardGL version 1.7 has been ported (1/31/2012) to OS/2. This is an OpenGL pool / billiards simulation. From VOICE News.


Qlipper version 2.0.0 has been ported (1/31/2012) to OS/2. This is a clipboard history applet, which uses the Qt4 libraries.


More Qt4 apps were ported (1/30/2012) to OS/2, including: Cscreenie version 1.1.9 is a screenshot utility; and QIViewer version 0.5.0 is a small image viewer.

MJpegtools version 2.0.0 has been ported (1/17/2012) to OS/2. This includes tools that can be used to help create DVDs (and DVD menus). From VOICE News.


Paul Smedley has released (1/15/2012) an OS/2 port of Python version 2.7.2, as well as a Mercurial 1.0.2 module. There is also another port (1/1/2007) of Python 2.4.4; there are several extensions listed on that site as well. Python is a scripting language that comes from the Unix world. From VOICE News.


solidROC version 12.00.08 has been ported (1/14/2012) to OS/2. This is an OCR application that uses Tesseract to extract text from images, which uses the Qt4 libraries.


Timeset version 1.11 was released on the eComStation Betazone (for Software Subscription customers only). This is a utility for configuring Internet-based time/date synchronization. Thanks to Alex Taylor for the info.


FileSynq version 0.1 has been ported (1/5/2012) to OS/2. This is a tool for synchronizing two folders, which uses the Qt4 libraries.
