Warp Expander version 0.6 has been released (12/9/2003). This is a front-end for command line un-archiver programs such as unzip, unrar, unpack and others. It is a clone of BeOS Expander.
SmartBackup version 1.1 has been released (12/8/2003). This program takes the time and guess work out of backing up large drives or directories to CD, DVD or other low-capacity media, with smart disc spanning.
Program Editor version 2.32 has been released (12/7/2003). This is a programmable PM-based text editor which has many features, including unlimited undo, redo, file template support, file access sharing controls for group work, and more.
lxLite version 1.33 has been released (12/5/2003). This is a collection of very useful utilities. The namesake utility compresses executables, but also included are a program to unlock locked files (very handy for system updates), a program to remove EA's from files, and a couple other utilities.

Internet Assistant version 1.11 has been released (9/28/2003). This is a wizard-style app that configures dial-up programs with prepared provider data. CW-Multimedia classes version 0.2.7 have been released (9/1/2003). These classes are for seamless integration of the MMIO procedures for MP3 and OGG files; after installation Ogg and MP3 files are treated the same way by the WPS as the other audio files, with icons and menus. There is also a new Media Folder, which plays any audio class known to OS/2. It also includes a replacement JPEG class, and support for PNG image files.
MMAudioPak2 contains codecs for FLAC, MP3, and OGG Vorbis, which have been updated to version 0.3.0, 0.4.3, and 0.3.2, respectively. With these codecs the OS/2 multimedia system is able to play (and convert to WAV) FLAC, MP3, and OGG Vorbis files without any additional software. Thanks to Klaus Staedtler for the news.

WPS Class Manager version 0.1 has been released (8/23/2003). Dr.Dialog Control version 0.1.4 has been released (8/23/2003). This is a DLL for use with DrDialog which provides a percent bar, fly over help control, an image control which displays any image file supported by OS/2, and a directory picker. Full source is included, under the BSD license.

MyPod version 0.2.3 for the Apple iPod music player has been released (8/2/2003). It requires Java 1.4, and allows you to manipulate playlists and more for the iPod device.
A nice Mahjongg game called Shisen/2 has been updated (7/19/2003) to version 1.3.1.
IBM has released (7/1/2003) a pair of wireless LAN drivers, one that supports the Mini-PCI 22P7701 found in the ThinkPad T30, and one that supports the PC Card-128 09N9904 T Series. You need a Software Choice subscription or access to eCS updates to get these. From OS2World.

Normalize version 0.7.6 has been ported (6/7/2003) to OS/2. Normalize is an overly complicated tool for adjusting the volume of wave files to a standard volume level. This is useful for things like creating mp3 mixes, where different recording levels on different albums can cause the volume to vary greatly from song to song.
The Perl Compatible Regular Expressions Library (PCRE) version 4.3 has been ported (6/5/2003) to OS/2. It is available as a regular DLL, and as a REXX-callable DLL.
Rocco Foti has released (6/3/2003) CDR/RW Wizard version 1.0 RC7, a GUI wizard interface to CDRecord/2 to burn CDR/CDRW (data, audio, etc). It now features BootWizard, for creating bootable CDs, and CDRDAO/2. Also released (4/21/2000) is RadioTrackFR version 1.0 beta 3, an AIMS Radio Track program.
QuakeWorld 2.40 client and source code have been updated (6/1/2003) for OS/2. Also available (9/27/2001) is the server.

Run_Java has been updated (5/26/2003). This will create a "Create Java Object" program object on your desktop. Just drop a .jar file on the object to create a program object for the .jar file. It will also create a "Run Jars" object -- this will allow you to start most modern java apps by just double clicking on the jar file. Thanks to Cary Renquist for the news.
EXIF-O-Matic version 1.1.8 has been released (5/20/2003). This is a Java tool for dealing with the meta-data within image files created by digital cameras; it can export the information to TXT and HTML.

AutoScroll has been updated (4/23/2003), and now works remarkably similar to the version I created previously (it looks like he used my autoscroll.js patches). AutoScroll is an addon for Mozilla and Phoenix that allows autoscrolling functionality similar to HotScroll and XWorkPlace. For those unfamiliar with this, when you middle click on a page, you can then move the mouse up and down to have the page scroll.
LDCOPY version 1.1 has been released (4/19/2003). This is a simple OS/2 driver for copying files while CONFIG.SYS is being processed.
BladeEnc version 0.94.2, an MP3 encoder, has been ported (4/17/2003) to OS/2. Get the newest version from Hobbes.

Marty Amodeo has added (4/14/2003) symbolic link support to the EMX libraries, and many of the common utilities. It utilizes OS/2 extended attributes to emulate symbolic links.
Squeak version 3.5 has been ported (4/13/2003) to OS/2. Squeak is the open source smalltalk. This port includes full network access and handles native sound and uses DIVE for fast video. Squeak is written in itself - you can inspect, change and extend any part of the language, application, or even the virtual machine, while it is running.
SmartPack for Mesa/2 version 1.1 has been released. This is a collection of little tools to use with the spread sheet application Mesa/2 by Sundial Systems. From VOICE News.
uudeview version 0.5.18 has been ported (4/12/2003) to OS/2. This is a smart multi-file multi-part decoder for uuencoded, xxencoded, Base64 and BinHex encoded files. It also includes a similarly powerful encoder.
Stardock has released Stellar Frontier version 1.10a, a free multi-player game. This game is also bundled with eComStation.
Poor Man's PDF version 1.0.5 has been released (4/4/2003). This is a project to easily make PDF files under OS/2. It is implemented as a printer port driver, and requires GhostScript. dskxtrct version 1.3 has been released (4/2/2003). This tool can extract files from DSK diskette image files that IBM provides. You can use it to extract FixPak files and apply them from the hard drive.
JJSCDROM has been updated (3/28/2003). This is an alternative to IBM's OS2CDROM.DMD, which fixes some problems and adds a few features.

ThirdEye version 2.20 has been updated. ThirdEye is a universal digital camera manipulation program, that supports cameras from Agfa, Olympus, Epson, Nikon, Sanyo, Kodak, HP, and Konica. It has a REXX interface, a NetDrive plugin, and both PM and VIO versions of the application. This allows you to browse the pictures in your digital camera with your favorite filemanager or the WPS. Polarbar Mailer version 1.25a has been released (3/22/2003). This Java e-mail program came from decompiling the last released version of JStreet Mailer, and permission was obtained from Innoval to continue the development.
Jikes version 1.18 has been ported (3/5/2003) to OS/2. Jikes is a high performance Java byte-code compiler. It is much faster than JAVAC, has better dependency checking, and has stricter error checking.
WebMail/2 is a 'hotmail.com-style' system for OS/2, now (3/3/2003) on version 14.0. WebMail/2 runs along with your existing pop3/smtp server, and it can read the user database of Weasel, IPS, InetMail, and ZXMail.
CW-USBMSD version 1.2b has been released (1/28/2003). This package contains drivers to use USB mass storage class compliant devices, and supports other, maybe more, devices than the IBM drivers. There is also Yuri Dario's patch for IBM's usbmsd.add, with support for the Olympus digital cameras, which was updated (3/3/2003) to version 1.3b.
Martin Kiewitz has made patches that allow some DOS games to run under OS/2. GoSierra version 3 (3/2/2003) allows old Sierra and Dynamix games to work using Soundblaster sound. Be sure to check out Martin's DOS games compatibility info page.

POSIX/2 beta 0.1.1 has been released (2/21/2003). This adds BSD interface additions to EMX, to give OS/2 a complete POSIX / Single Unix Specification evironment. The WarpDoctor Rexx Plug-in version 1.02 has been released (2/8/2003). This is a browser plugin that works like the Java plugin, but for Rexx.
Wayne Swanson has created a patched version of ForeSpace, the PovRay frontend, to cure a "Black Icon" problem in the original 0.42b release.
Rexx2Nrx, a 'classic Rexx to NetRexx converter', has been updated to version 4.01. Rexx2Nrx attempts to convert classic Rexx programs to NetRexx. A runtime package is provided including the 'classic Rexx builtin functions' not available in NetRexx, like Date/Time, File IO, builtin Stack, etc.

fetchmail version 6.2.1b1 has been ported (2/3/2003) to OS/2. Also available (2/22/2002) is another port of version 5.9.8. This can fetch mail by POP or IMAP, and forward by SMTP to local system or elsewhere.
WarpMesaGL alpha minus 1.47, an OS/2 port of Mesa 5.1, the OpenGL clone, is now (2/2/2003) available. It includes sample programs as well as the source code. The latest version can be found on Hobbes.

WarpZip version 3.9 has been released (1/28/2003). This program will now search for, list, view, extract and do "near seamless" installations from ZIP, ARJ, RAR, LZH, TGZ, GZ, WPI, and OS/2 "packed" file formats. It also features a Download PreProcessor that will selectively move your downloaded zip files to any directory you choose, test them for integrity, virus test them, and queue them up for later review.
